GAC Motor Philippines announced that it has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing 1,500 units in retail sales for the subcompact crossover.
This achievement comes on the eve of the first anniversary of the GS3 Emzoom’s launch under Astara Philippines’ distributorship. The company recorded 320 unit sales in May, with 215 of those being the Emzoom, bringing the total number of Emzoom vehicles sold to 1,569 since its launch on June 30, 2023.
“We are incredibly proud of this milestone,” said Franz Decloedt, Brand Head of GAC Motor Philippines, Astara Philippines. “The increasing number of Filipinos choosing GAC demonstrates the trust and confidence they have in our vehicles’ value and quality.”
This success has been echoed by satisfied customers like Kim Daryl Canosa, a motorsports cinematographer and Emzoom owner. “The Emzoom not only looks stunning but also delivers high performance and a smooth driving experience,” Canosa commented. “It’s the perfect car for both daily commutes and weekend getaways,” Canosa said in a press release.
To celebrate this achievement, GAC Motor Philippines is offering exclusive discounts on the GS3 Emzoom this June, with up to P70,000 off on the R-Style for cash purchases.
The Emzoom is powered by a 1.5 TGDI engine paired with a 7-speed wet dual clutch transmission, producing 177 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque.
GAC Motor Philippines is rapidly expanding its footprint in the country, with 35 dealerships expected to be operational by the end of 2024. Recent openings include locations in San Fernando, Pampanga; Iloilo City; Cainta, Rizal; and General Santos City.
In a testament to its remarkable growth, GAC Motor International recognized the Philippines as the Fastest Growing GAC Market in the world in April 2024. The company recorded a 274 percent growth in retail sales for the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period in the previous year.
