NISSAN’S efforts to promote the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the country now has been in-tensified with a price reduction for its popular Kicks e-POWER model. This adjustment, announced last July 1, aligns with the government’s push for a greener future and makes the innovative e-POWER technology more accessible to Filipino consumers.
The Nissan Kicks e-POWER stands out due to its unique e-POWER technology. This system com-bines a gasoline engine with an electric motor to power the wheels. The gasoline engine acts as a generator to charge the battery, eliminating the need for external charging. This provides the bene-fits of electric driving, such as instant torque and a smooth, quiet ride, without the range anxiety associated with pure EVs.
The updated pricing for the Nissan Kicks e-POWER variants is as follows: EL from P1.239M to P1.179M, the mid-range VE from P1.339M to P1.279M and the luxurious VL down to P1.479M to P1.539M. The Pearl White variants add P20,000 to their prices while the VL in Pearl White Two-Tone) is now P1.494M. The Kicks Sport is now P1.369M including accessories worth P90K.
The revised pricing positions the Kicks e-POWER competitively within the Philippine automotive market. It offers a compelling alternative to traditional gasoline-powered vehicles and hybrids, par-ticularly for those seeking the benefits of electric driving without the need for charging infrastruc-ture.
Nissan’s decision to reduce the price of the Kicks e-POWER, coupled with the recent extension of the battery warranty to eight years, demonstrates the company’s commitment to promoting electri-fied mobility in the Philippines. This aligns with the growing global trend towards sustainable transportation solutions. This move by Nissan Philippines is expected to contribute to the increas-ing popularity of EVs in the country, making electrified driving a more attainable option for a wider range of consumers.
