Music festival launches Isuzu’s latest D-MAX, mu-X

IT was a hot and humid afternoon at the Alabang Town Center. The big acacias tried to ward off the heat, but the early evening’s launch of the latest Isuzu D-MAX and Isuzu mu-X last April 21 made things hotter.

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), organized the ‘Isuzu Summer Music Festival,” to show off the upgraded Isuzu D-MAX and mu-X along. The whole music festival ran until April 23, and ran parallel with other activities including a free test drive, afternoon games, dog show, car club meet-up and live performances from well-loved OPM artists to entertain the whole family.

The media were given a short test drive in a pre-set course around the Alabang commercial area, the uprated vehicles displayed mostly cosmetic revisions in the exterior and interior.

But more than aesthetics, IPC highlighted the renowned durability and safety features of both models. Running on the Blue Power technology of the 4JJ3-TCX diesel engine the new Isuzus have optimized performance and fuel efficiency.

Both also share the best safety features. 5-Star Safety certified by the ASEAN NCAP, thanks to the Active and Passive safety features, as well as Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) with Smart Duo Cam which is loaded with Blind Spot Monitoring, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Turn Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go Functionality, to name a few.

“As your responsible partner in providing durable and reliable vehicles, we are elevating your driving experience with safer, more efficient, and more comfortable drive — a drive that will suit the needs of all members of the family,” IPC President Tetsuya Fujita said opening the event and presenting the changes to the new vehicles.

The new Isuzu D-MAX has a redesigned exterior with a new two-tone front grille matched with its new matte dark gray 18-inch alloy wheels. The blacked out changes give it a classy yet sporty stance. The new body color called Islay Gray, gives it a rugged yet stylish look.

For the new mu-X, the positioning of “Premium Family SUV” was clearly shown with the new sleek two-tone front grille and new 20-inch alloy wheels. The setup shouts an upscale and luxurious vibe. A classy new color variant, Norwegian Blue was added but is available only for the LS-E variants.

To top it all off, the new Isuzu mu-X further elevates the family experience with its new owner-friendly features like the new Smart Power Tailgate with Step Sensor. This is a new feature that allows owner to open its tailgate automatically through advance key detection and sensor technology for more convenient loading and unloading of luggage.

Since their introduction to the Philippine market, the Isuzu D-MAX and mu-X have won the heart of many Filipinos because of the value for money and core values instilled in both vehicles that offer many possibilities.
