Mazda fan fest features Angie King

The Mazda Fan Festa PH 2024, held on November 16, 2024, at the Clark International Speedway, attracted over 300 Mazda vehicles and celebrated the brand’s motorsport legacy and its passionate community.

Modeled after the Mazda Fan Festa in Japan, the event showcased the camaraderie among Mazda enthusiasts in the Philippines.Various event partners, including GT Radial, PartsPro, and Shell Café, set up booths and provided food and beverages throughout the day, enhancing the festive atmosphere. Mazda Philippines also highlighted its partnership with AutoExe, showcasing models such as the CX-60, Mazda3, and MX-5, all fitted with AutoExe tuning parts.

A unique feature of this year’s event was the opportunity for Mazda owners to drive their vehicles on the 4.189-kilometer track, guided by professional instructors. The event also included the final leg of this year’s Miata Cup and the Manila Sports Car Club (MSCC) Miata Spec Series, adding a competitive edge to the festivities.

The day began with a parade of iconic Mazda sports cars, including various generations of the MX-5 and a drift-prepped four-rotor RX-7. Leading the parade was Steven Tan, President and CEO of Mazda Philippines, accompanied by notable figures from Mazda Corporation and Shell Pilipinas.

One of the highlights was a demonstration by Angie Mead King in her third-generation Mazda RX-7, which features a high-revving engine.

Following her impressive demo laps, racing activities commenced, featuring multiple classes in the Miata Cup. Winners emerged from each category, showcasing their skills on the track. As afternoon activities continued, more races took place in both the Miata Cup and MSCC Miata Spec Series, with enthusiastic spectators cheering for their favorite drivers.

The event culminated in a Mazda Sunset Parade, bringing together participants to celebrate their shared passion for Mazda vehicles. The Mazda Fan Festa PH 2024 not only highlighted the brand’s commitment to motorsport but also reinforced the strong community spirit among Mazda enthusiasts in the Philippines.
