THE Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) is hosting the Land Transportation Office (LTO) “LTO on Wheels,” mobile office designed to make services more accessible to motorists.

Part of LTO’s E-Patrol Operations and Outreach Program, the project also aims to prevent the public from dealing with unauthorized individuals or “fixers.”

According to PITX General Manager Mariano Arroyo, this partnership between PITX and LTO speaks of a shared commitment to providing public convenience through the services each entity offers.

“PITX aims to make commuting friendlier, while LTO wants to reach out to motorists. Both of us have objectives that benefit our fellow Filipinos, so we’re really supporting each other and working together to make things happen,” he explained.

The PITX is the country’s first and currently largest landport.

Arroyo also emphasized PITX’s strategic location to bring government services closer to the public. In September alone, the landport reached an average weekday foot traffic of more than 50,000. This is expected to further increase this month as more provincial and city routes are opened.

“We’re happy to partner with LTO for the LTO on Wheels project. Hopefully, this partnership opens more opportunities of working together towards the fulfilment of our commitment of convenience for Filipinos,” Arroyo said.

LTO on Wheels will be stationed at PITX Gate 1, 2nd level, on October 16, 17, 23 and 24
The following services will be offered on-site; issuance of student permit, renewal of Driver’s License expiring within 2 months, and those expired not beyond 2 years, motor vehicle registration for plates ending in 0 and 1-9 with penalty, free printing of five-year validity Driver’s License card (conversion of paper license to card)

Aside from LTO, Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) has a satellite office at PITX for Filipino seafarers. More government offices are also expected to come in soon for better accessibility to different government services.
