HARIPHIL Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai commercial vehicles, is celebrating a significant achievement with the introduction of the Hyundai HD50S GT Modern PUV Class 4 to its model lineup. A double milestone was reached as the Department of Transportation (DOTr) granted the Certificate of Compliance (COC) to HARI on July 19, 2023, making it the first company to receive a COC for this particular PUV category.
HARI’s commitment to the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP) has been evident through its previous accomplishments. In 2019, HARI received COCs for its Modern PUVs Class 1 and 2, followed by the HD50S Class 3 in 2020. These achievements earned HARI recognition as the first in the industry to offer a complete line of government-certified modern PUVs (Class 1-3). Now, with the addition of the HD50S Modern PUV Class 4, HARI once again takes the lead as the first in the country to provide a full range of vehicles that meet government standards.
Maria Fe Perez-Agudo, HARI President, and CEO praised the HD50S GT for being a versatile and capable vehicle that adds value to their existing Modern PUV fleet offerings. The HD50S Class 4 is designed to connect rural towns to larger cities, featuring provisions for cargo, forward-facing seats for passengers, and side door entry for easy boarding and alighting. Powered by a Euro-4 compliant engine, it boasts ample strength to handle various road conditions.
The Hyundai HD50 Modern PUV has garnered acclaim for its power, fuel efficiency, durability, spaciousness, comfort, and safety, further boosted by reliable after-sales support, including a 3-Year Warranty or 100,000 km coverage, whichever comes first. These impressive features have made it the preferred choice for transport cooperatives in Regions 3, 5, and 7, and it is rapidly gaining support from cooperatives in NCR and Region IV.
With nearly 800 units sold nationwide to date, HARI has made a significant impact in promoting modern and reliable PUVs across the country.
