ACMOBILITY, the official distributor of Kia vehicles in the Philippines, has unveiled its latest offering, the Kia Sonet. This entry-level SUV aims to make a significant impact on the Philippine automotive market.
Priced between P758,000 for the base 1.5 LX MT variant and P1,138,000 for the top-tier 1.5 SX AT variant, the Sonet joins Kia’s growing SUV lineup. The company hopes to attract a diverse range of buyers with its modern design, competitive pricing, and comprehensive features.
The Sonet is equipped with a 1.5-liter Dual Port Fuel Injected gasoline engine, delivering 115 PS and 144 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between Kia’s Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) or a 6-speed manual transmission.
Externally, the Sonet features Kia’s signature Tiger-nose grille, 16-inch wheels, and a class-leading 205mm ground clearance. The top-tier 1.5 SX AT variant comes with additional premium features like an electric sunroof, roof rails, rear spoiler, and LED taillights.
Inside, the Sonet offers comfortable seating for five passengers, with leather seats available in the 1.5 SX AT variant. The higher trims also boast additional features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10.25-inch TFT LCD multi-function digital instrument cluster.
The Sonet comes standard with essential safety features like dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), and an immobilizer. The top-tier 1.5 SX AT also includes advanced driver assistance systems such as Lane Following Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, and more.
Available in various colors, the Sonet is now available at Kia showrooms nationwide.
