FIFTY years after the last Jaguar E-type rolled off the line, the final F-TYPE sports car followed suit at the Castle Bromwich factory. This Giola Green V8 convertible, echoing the final E-type’s aesthetics, is destined for the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, marking a symbolic handover of the brand’s legacy.
The F-TYPE, launched in 2013 as Jaguar’s first two-seater sports car in nearly four decades, garnered acclaim and earned the 2013 World Car Design of the Year award. With 87,731 units produced, it will remain available until early 2025.
This milestone signals a new era for Jaguar, as the company readies a transformation into electric luxury vehicles. A four-door electric GT, promising to be unlike any other, is set for a 2025 reveal.
“We celebrate F-TYPE and our 75-year history of innovative Jaguar sports cars, while looking forward to a new era,” says Rawdon Glover, Jaguar’s Managing Director. “We will reimagine and elevate the brand, focused on client intimacy and engagement.”
Both the final F-TYPE and E-type will be preserved at the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, along with other recently discontinued models, signifying the end of an era and the beginning of a bold new chapter for Jaguar.
