Honda has been recognized with the prestigious 2025 “Best Car Brand” award from U.S. News & World Report for the fourth consecutive year.
This award highlights Honda’s strong performance in key areas such as performance, interior quality, safety, and reliability across its lineup of passenger vehicles which includes the Civic, Civic Hybrid, Type R, and Si, Accord, and Accord Hybrid, which were noted for their appeal and dependability.
The 11th-generation Honda Civic, which has become the best-selling compact car in America since 1973, plays a critical role in the brand’s success. Particularly popular among Generation Z, first-time buyers, and multicultural customers, the Civic has become a significant entry point for new buyers to the Honda brand.
Additionally, the Honda Accord has continued to capture the attention of Millennial and Gen Z consumers, further bolstering brand loyalty. This midsize sedan remains one of the most popular vehicles in its class, especially among first-time buyers and diverse demographic groups.
Honda’s efforts to expand its electrification strategy have been highlighted by the introduction of hybrid-electric variants for both the Civic and the Accord. The new Civic Hybrid and Accord Hybrid, powered by Honda’s award-winning fourth-generation two-motor hybrid-electric powertrain, now represent over 50% of Accord sales. The 2025 Civic Hybrid is projected to eventually make up around 40 percent of total Civic sales. This increase in hybrid-electric vehicle offerings has helped Honda achieve a significant milestone, with hybrid-electric vehicles now accounting for over 25 percent of Honda’s total sales in 2024.
