ENEOS PH sponsors 2024 Super Sprint Series

ENEOS Philippines Corporation (ENEPH), the Philippine arm of Japan’s leading oil company ENEOS Corporation, announced its title sponsorship for the 2024 Super Sprint Series, organized by GMET Events.

This collaboration highlights ENEOS’ commitment to the Philippine market, considered a key growth area for its lubricants business. It also demonstrates their dedication to fostering the local motorsports scene, having a long history of involvement in such events globally.

Two ENEOS products are used for the sprint series. First is the PRO-RACING SN/CF 5W 40: A 100% synthetic oil developed for demanding drivers seeking ultimate engine power, protection, and efficiency. Second is the CF 5W-30: A semi-synthetic oil offering rapid lubrication, high thermal stability, and compatibility with various engines. It promotes longer oil life, cleaner combustion, improved fuel economy, and lower emissions compared to conventional oils.

The first round of the series witnessed a successful launch with 137 participants, including a dedicated women’s class for the first time. The competition saw beginners, novices, and experts test themselves on the challenging yet accessible track at Parklinks, Quezon City. A diverse range of cars, from various makes, models, and modifications, lined up for their turn.

Prepped Class driver Iñigo Anton emerged victorious with the fastest time of 51.562 seconds in his Mazda MX-5 RF. Other category winners included: Intermediate Class: Chad Lazaro (BMW 3-series) – 56.671 seconds,  Amateur Class: Irwin Eugene Viray (Toyota RAV4) – 57.645 seconds, Street Class: Jan Sulit (Toyota Wigo) – 59.374 seconds. ­Fastest Female: Christine Torres (Honda hatchback) – 62.342 seconds

All winners received champion trophies and sought-after merchandise from ENEOS.

Imai concluded by congratulating everyone involved and expressing appreciation for GMET Events’ successful event management. He highlighted the shared goal of promoting safety in both motorsports and everyday driving, looking forward to seeing increased participation and spectatorship in upcoming rounds.
