VIETNAMESE EV manufacturer, VinFast, officially launched its brand in the Middle East last October 28, 2024, at Bluewaters Island, Dubai. Considered a significant milestone in VinFast’s global expansion, first announced in the September Media Elite Tour, the launch reinforces its commitment to providing sustainable and green transportation solutions.
Simultaneously with the brand launch, VinFast, in partnership with Al Tayer Motors, opened its first dealership in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), located in downtown Dubai. This 1,000-square-meter dealership showcases VinFast’s electric vehicle lineup, including the VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9 models, and offers a service workshop for customer convenience.
Prior to the launch, VinFast signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Charge&Go on October 17, 2024, to facilitate the installation and operation of a public charging station network in the UAE.
VinFast plans to further expand its presence in the Middle East by opening additional dealerships in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain later this year. The company aims to offer competitive pricing for its electric vehicles, with the VF 8 model expected to start at USD 47,500 (Eco trim) and USD 51,500 (Plus trim).
Ta Xuan Hien, CEO of VinFast Middle East, expressed enthusiasm about the brand’s entry into the Middle East market, highlighting the region’s growing interest in electric vehicles and VinFast’s commitment to providing smart and powerful electric vehicles.
VinFast’s global expansion strategy includes a strong presence in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Indonesia, India, and the Philippines. By entering the Middle East market, VinFast aims to contribute to the region’s transition to sustainable mobility and make electric vehicles more accessible to consumers.
To strengthen its foothold in the Middle East, VinFast has established exclusive partnerships with Al Tayer Motors (UAE), Al Mana Holdings (Qatar), and Bahwan Automobiles & Trading (Oman). These partnerships will enable VinFast to effectively distribute and service its electric vehicles in the region, promoting green mobility solutions and solidifying its position as a leading electric vehicle manufacturer.
