The Bonovo action BMW Racing Team will welcome Scott Redding (GBR), a BMW Motorrad factory rider since 2022, to its ranks. Redding, known for his racing prowess, will join forces with his factory rider teammate Garrett Gerloff (USA).

On the other hand, the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team is set to feature Toprak Razgatlioglu (TUR), a new addition, and Michael van der Mark (NED), a BMW Motorrad factory rider since 2021, as teammates.

Both BMW teams will enjoy equal support in terms of material specifications and technical assistance from the BMW Motorrad Motorsport development department, ensuring that all four BMW Motorrad factory riders have an equal chance to shine.

Dr. Markus Schramm, Director of BMW Motorrad, expressed his enthusiasm about this rider allocation, stating, “Four great BMW Motorrad factory riders in our two strong BMW teams — with this new allocation, we are set up superbly for the WorldSBK season 2024.” He praised Scott Redding’s commitment to the BMW Motorrad World Superbike project and emphasized the importance of his experience, speed, and expertise. Dr. Schramm also highlighted the strategic distribution of factory riders across the teams, with Toprak Razgatlioglu joining the roster. The combination of Razgatlioglu and Michael van der Mark in the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team was described as the ideal lineup for the overall project.

Dr. Schramm emphasized the close collaboration between the teams and BMW Motorrad Motorsport engineers, with rider feedback driving continuous improvements to the motorcycles. The presence of two competitive teams with top riders is expected to heighten internal competitive pressure and elevate overall performance levels. This rider and team lineup represent an important step toward achieving top-level success in the WorldSBK.

He also expressed gratitude to Loris Baz, who will be departing from the World Superbike project after the current season. After his two-season stint with the Bonovo action BMW Racing Team, BMW Motorrad wished him the best in his future endeavors.
