ACMobility has launched its mobile EV charging station Power-on-Wheels (POW).

Equipped with fast, onboard DC chargers, POW allows EV owners to charge their vehicles with ease and flexibility, saving time by avoiding queues and charging conveniently from their home, condominium, or office location, the company said in a statement.

“As ACMobility continues rolling out fixed charging, we are committed to developing innovative solutions to address the infrastructure concerns of EV owners. Power-on-Wheels makes adopting the EV lifestyle easier by offering a convenient, mobile charging solution that complements ACMobility’s growing network of EV charging stations. This service brings charging directly to customers where and when they need it, making EV charging more accessible for people of various lifestyles,” said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility.

Power-on-Wheels is developed in partnership with Power Up Tech (P.UP), a Singapore-based mobile EVCS operates in Singapore, Malaysia, and other Asian countries.

The company said multiple POW units will be deployed across Metro Manila. This offers an easy and flexible solution for many condo-dwellers, homeowners, employees, and businesses in line with the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA) requirements.

POW is designed to cater to both full-battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and select plug-in hybrids. All POW units are capable of supporting fast DC charging, have a capacity of up to 120 kWh, and are compatible with vehicles that have a CCS2 plug.

The company said that POW units will initially operate in select areas in Makati, Mandaluyong, and Taguig and will soon be deployed to wider areas across the country.
