The e:HEV technology in the all-new Honda CR-V combines gasoline and electrification technologies to deliver impressive fuel efficiency and driving pleasure. The system can switch between three operating modes: EV Drive Mode (battery-only operation), Hybrid Drive Mode (power sharing between the electric motor and the engine), and Engine Drive Mode (gasoline engine propulsion). This versatility enhances fuel economy and offers driving modes tailored to different preferences, including Sport, Normal, and Econ Mode, ensuring a quiet and refined driving experience.
Additionally, the e:HEV system is self-charging, using regenerative braking to harvest energy and recharge the battery. The all-new CR-V 2.0 RS e:HEV E-CVT comes with an 8-year or 200,000-kilometer battery warranty for customer peace of mind.
The 2024 CR-V hybrid is powered by a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. The engine produces 145 horsepower and 189 lb-ft of torque, while the electric motors produce a combined 135 horsepower and 198 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid powertrain is mated to an E-CVT transmission.
The Department of Energy (DOE) rates the SUV at 23.8 km/L in combined city and highway driving. This makes the 2024 CR-V one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs on the market in the Philippines.
In addition to its fuel efficiency, the 2024 CR-V hybrid also offers a number of other advantages, providing smoother and more responsive acceleration, and it is also quieter than the gasoline engine. The hybrid system also allows for all-wheel drive capability without sacrificing fuel efficiency.
The all-new Honda CR-V also introduces a turbocharged gas engine, available in the 1.5 V Turbo CVT and 1.5 VX Turbo CVT AWD models. This engine offers a balance between power and efficiency, generating 190 PS and 240 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful gas-powered CR-V to date.
The all-new CR-V’s fuel efficiency is impressive, with the e:HEV variant achieving 29.4 KM/L in urban driving and 16.4 KM/L in extra-urban conditions. This data adheres to United Nations Regulation 101 standards.
