Garmin ECG app now available
GARMIN, a leading provider of wearable technology, has expanded the availability of its ECG App to the Philippines. The app, which is FDA-cleared, allows users to record their heart rhythm and check for signs of atrial fibrillation (AFib) directly from their smartwatch.
“We are pleased to bring the ECG App to even more of our users, including those with our flagship epix Pro and fÄ“nix 7 Pro series smartwatches,” said Scoppen Lin, Assistant General Manager of Garmin Asia. “This tool, which allows our users in the Philippines to conveniently take an ECG recording when they want, only adds to the suite of innovative features to help themstay on top of their health.”
The ECG App is now available on various Garmin smartwatches, including the epix Pro series, fÄ“nix 7 Pro series, Venu 2 Plus, Venu 3 series, and tactix 7 — AMOLED Edition. Users can access the app by updating their Garmin Connect smartphone app and smartwatch software to the latest versions.
The app utilizes sensors embedded in the smartwatch to record the electrical signals controlling the user’s heart rhythm, producing an electrocardiogram (ECG).
