MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9300+, the latest addition to its flagship mobile chip lineup. Building on the Dimensity 9300, the enhanced SoC features increased clock speeds and focuses on accelerating on-device generative AI processing. It offers broader support for Large Language Models (LLMs) and other performance improvements.

The Dimensity 9300+ utilizes an all-big-core design with a 3rd generation TSMC 4nm process. It boasts a single Arm Cortex-X4 core running at up to 3.4 GHz, along with three additional Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores. Compared to its predecessor, the Dimensity 9300+ delivers enhanced AI processing capabilities due to MediaTek’s NeuroPilot Speculative Decode Acceleration technology in the company’s latest generative AI engine.

MediaTek’s powerful APU 790 AI engine enables the Dimensity 9300+ to effectively support LLMs with 1B, 7B, and 13B parameters, scalable up to 33B. The new NeuroPilot Speculative Decode Acceleration allows the Dimensity 9300+ to run 7 billion parameter LLMs at 22 tokens per second, significantly faster than comparable solutions.
