The prestigious annual Year of Infrastructure Awards acknowledges and celebrates the remarkable achievements of Bentley software users who are driving progress in the fields of infrastructure design, construction, and operations on a global scale.
“We are so excited to be back in Singapore to present the Going Digital Awards finalists in front of our users and those attending virtually, as well as invited press and analysts at the 2023 Year in Infrastructure and Going Digital Awards event. These projects reflect how organizations have improved their workflows by embracing digital technologies to maximize efficiency and cost savings. I congratulate the finalists for advancing infrastructure intelligence by adopting Bentley Infrastructure Cloud, iTwin Platform and products, and Bentley Open Applications, and I wish them success on their future projects,” Chris Bradshaw, Bentley Systems’ Chief Marketing Officer said in a press statement.
Bentley Systems’ Year of Infrastructure Awards (YII) is the largest and most prestigious platform for recognizing outstanding infrastructure projects that “make our world a better place.” The awards are judged by a panel of independent experts from around the world, and winners are selected based on criteria such as innovation, impact, and sustainability.
The selection process involved twelve independent jury panels, each dedicated to a specific award category, who meticulously chose the 36 finalists from an impressive pool of over 300 nominations submitted by 235 organizations representing 51 different countries.
Representatives from the organizations represented by these finalists will have the opportunity to showcase their projects before a panel of impartial judges. These judges will determine the ultimate winners in each category, and the finalists will also engage with global media outlets and industry leaders during the 2023 Year in Infrastructure and Going Digital Awards event.
This event is scheduled to take place at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from October 11 to 12, 2023. To gain insights into how these exceptional infrastructure projects are harnessing the power of digital advancements to achieve groundbreaking outcomes, we invite you to explore the event’s official website.
In 2022, the YII awinners included a wide range of projects from all over the world, including the Sydney Metro Northwest project in Australia which used Bentley’s digital technologies to reduce construction time by 25% and costs by 10 percent. The High Speed 2 project in the United Kingdom uses digital twins to improve the design and construction of the new high-speed rail line. The Grand Paris Express project in France used Bentley’s rail-specific programs to design and build a new metro system that will serve the Paris metropolitan area. The New York City Water Tunnel No. 3 project in the United States used Bentley technologies to build a new water tunnel that will help to secure New York City’s water supply for the next century.
The 2023 Year of Infrastructure Awards is expected to showcase even more innovative and sustainable infrastructure projects from around the world. Bentley Systems is committed to supporting the digital advancement of infrastructure, and the Year of Infrastructure Awards is a key part of that mission.
Bentley also shares to participants at the YII event, its latest digital technologies and best practices in infrastructure design, construction, and operations. It is also a chance to celebrate the extraordinary work of the organizations that are helping to advance the world’s infrastructure.
