ESET, a well-established leader in digital security solutions, has announced significant changes to its consumer-focused offerings within the Philippines market.
Recognizing the ever-evolving landscape of online threats, ESET has consolidated its consumer product portfolio to emphasize comprehensive, all-in-one security protection.
This restructuring introduces three new subscription tiers that cater to varying user needs while incorporating features such as a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) and robust browser privacy extensions.
Central to this strategy is a revamped version of the company’s ESET Home platform.
Designed specifically with ease of use in mind, this platform serves as a unified hub for managing security across multiple operating systems — Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. The system provides users with valuable insights into their home network’s security, including the identification of connected smart devices.
Additionally, it presents a clear, consolidated overview of the real-time protection status for all devices associated with the account, simplifying the process of security assessment.
ESET’s new subscription-based model aims to address a wide range of security requirements with three distinct tiers:
– Home Security Essential: This entry-level tier offers a solid foundation of protection. It includes enhanced endpoint security, multilayered real-time safeguards against digital threats, and specialized tools for secure online banking and browsing. Additionally, the Network Inspector feature aids users in diagnosing potential vulnerabilities within their home network and provides a comprehensive list of connected devices.
– Home Security Premium: This tier expands functionality by incorporating a secure password manager, allowing for easy storage and retrieval of login credentials, along with automatic form-filling capabilities. It introduces data encryption tools for files and removable media, ensuring the safety of sensitive information. ESET LiveGuard, a cloud-based protection layer designed to combat new and emerging threats, also becomes available at this subscription level.
– Home Security Ultimate: The most comprehensive of the three tiers, this level introduces ESET’s new VPN feature, allowing users to establish secure, private internet connections for enhanced privacy, especially when using public Wi-Fi. Strict no-logs policies assure users that their online activity is not being tracked or recorded. The VPN provides access to geo-restricted content with servers in over 60 countries worldwide. This tier also enhances browser security and includes metadata cleanup tools for additional privacy features.
“Today’s digital landscape has become increasingly sophisticated, with online threats such as phishing and banking scams frequently making headlines,” said Parvinder Walia, ESET President for Asia Pacific and Japan. “At ESET, we are committed to empowering consumers to remain protected online. The new ESET HOME Security is powered by a combination of AI, human insight, and cloud protection, providing all-in-one security solutions.”
