RCBC Credit Cards balances grew 42 percent in 2022 driven by solid double digit and faster-than-industry growth in issuing billings, thanks to data-driven personalization, digital solutions, and numerous promotions and merchant partnerships.

“With the implementation of several initiatives, including our recent rebranding, RCBC Credit Cards has firmly established itself as a leading force in the Philippine credit card industry. Our exceptional performance is a testament to the effectiveness of these initiatives and our commitment to providing top-notch financial solutions to our customers,” said Arniel Vincent Ong, RCBC Bankard Services Corporation President and CEO.

RCBC Credit Cards, formerly known as RCBC Bankard, was rebranded in September 2022.

This new branding came with a promise to empower the bank’s cardholders to live life unlimited through a range of exclusive card benefits, advanced digital offerings, and exciting promotions.

“We understand that our cardholders want to live empowered lives, and that’s exactly what we aim to provide with our ‘Live Life Unlimited’ project. Our goal is to enable our cardholders to manage their finances more effectively and to provide more enjoyable dining, travel, shopping, and wellness experiences,” Mr. Ong added.

With the introduction of “UnliPay” last year, RCBC Credit cardholders are now able to transfer funds using their available credit limit to pay any bank or e-wallet via the RCBC Digital app. This allowed RCBC Credit Cardholders to pay merchants who cannot accept credit card payments.

With the resumption of travel, RCBC Credit cardholders also benefit from access to the prestigious Marhaba Lounge located at the Ninoy Aquino International airport.  On top of this, all retail cardholders are entitled to free travel insurance and purchase protection overseas as long as they use their RCBC Credit Cards in purchasing their international travel tickets.

RCBC Credit Cards offered close to 300 dining, shopping, and wellness promotions to its card base, from top in-store and online merchants. These deals enable cardholders to enjoy better experiences and value for their money since they are provided discounts, free items or complimentary services from partner merchants whenever they use their cards.

The cardholders also earn no-cap, flexible rewards on their discretionary and non-discretionary purchases, including bills payment. They can also choose whether they want to earn points, Air miles, or cash rebates.

RCBC Credit Cards was awarded Credit Card of the Year at the 2022 Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards by The Digital Banker.
