PIA, Manual for Data Privacy Compliance seminars set

To guide businesses in completing their compliance, the Center for Global Best Practices will host two highly-specialized training programs and implementation best practices entitled “How to Prepare Privacy Impact Assessment” to be held on Thursday & Friday, February 27 & 28, 2020 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City, Philippines; back-to-back with “How to Develop a Data Privacy Management System & Manual” to be held on Wednesday & Thursday, March 18 & 19, 2020 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Resorts World Complex, Pasay City, Philippines.

These two-day comprehensive training workshops will provide participants with the whole-of-the-enterprise approach and methodology to compose the mandated Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and Privacy Management Manual based on the National Privacy Commission’s practice and standards.

Both programs will feature Data Privacy expert, John Macasio who is the lead trainer and consultant at the Information and Communications Technology Literacy and Competency Development Bureau of the Department of Information and Communications Technology.

Recently, he finished capability building of management and workforce on privacy impact assessment and privacy and security management manual with organizations such as Department of Finance, Department of Agriculture (National Meat Inspection Services), PhilHealth (Information Security Group), Light Rail Transit Authority, Philippine Fish Port Authority, MAA General Assurance and PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority among many others.

Registration is open to the general public and is a must for companies and organizations gathering, handling and processing personal information. CGBP is an accredited training provider of the Civil Service Commission. Attendees from the government can earn points for their career advancement and are exempted from the P2,000 limit when attending training conducted by the private sector based on DBM circular 563 dated April 22, 2016.
