Sprout Solutions, a local payroll outsourcing company, has released an updated version of its mobile app called Sprout HR.
The app allows employees to easily access attendance logs, payslips, and updated computations for taxes and contributions.
Unlike a manual payroll system, it empowers employers to automate their payroll processes, guaranteeing accuracy and adherence to compliance regulations.
Salary computations in the Philippines involve factors like overtime, night shift differentials, and holiday pay, which require precise calculation. Aside from salary computations, tax deductions are additional complexities of the Philippine payroll system.
Employers must accurately deduct and remit income tax, value-added tax (VAT), and withholding taxes.
Moreover, employers should appropriately remit mandatory contributions to corresponding agencies such as the Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG Fund, and the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
Consequently, employers are responsible for manually and accurately deducting taxes and remitting contributions, as failure to comply with these can lead to frustration and legal complications with employees.

Additionally, the upgraded UI design on the mobile app allows users to navigate the payroll system easily.
