BPI named one of the ‘Best Companies to Work For’

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) was named among the best workplaces in the country during the recently held “HR Asia Best Companies to Work For Award” organized by one of Asia’s leading business-to business media organizations, Business Media International (BMI).

“This major recognition reflects a collective effortand commitment of our leaders and employees in living out BPI’s Culture of Excellence amidst a very challenging time. Our employees are the backbone of BPI’s leadershipand I want to thank all my fellow BPI unibankers for their commitment to our customers,” said Jose Teodoro “TG” Limcaoco, BPI President and CEO.

The HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia Awards is a recognition program for organizations that have been identified by their employees as one of best employers to work for in the region.

“It is truly a remarkable year for all of us, as the pandemic taught us–businesses and individuals–the value of resilience and the true meaning of showing empathy and care for one another,” said William Ng, group publisher and editor-in-chief of BMI.
Celebrating its 170th anniversary this year, BPI continues to strive to be an employer of choice among Philippine financial institutions.

With strengths in three main employee engagement drivers of career development and opportunities, goal clarity, and leadership, the Bank introduced more initiatives to boost competency development among its officers and staff, worked to accelerate promotions, and identified the right metrics to better align human resource measures with corporate strategy.

Amid the pandemic, BPI also organized various employee initiatives, including its Safer and Stronger, and #VaccToNormal” vaccination programs, aiming to protect the health and well-being of its people who are considered as “economic frontliners.”

Spearheaded by (BMI), HR Asia Best Companies to Work For Award is Asia’s largest, covering over 300,000 employees across the Philippines, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the UAE, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

It recognizes companies with the best HR practiceswhich demonstrate high levels of employee engagement and excellent workplace cultures.
