The Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) and RCBC Bankard Services Corporation announced last September 29, 2022, that RCBC Bankard will now be called RCBC Credit Card. The rebranded credit card is being issued by RCBC and is being managed by RCBC Bankard Services Corporation.
The new name, according to RCBC Bankard Services Corp. (RBSB) First Vice President and Marketing Group Head Ma. Angela C. Mirasol, is a way to strengthen the RCBC Credit Card brand–one that exemplifies its commitment to stronger financial solutions and lifestyle perks and benefits.
Mirasol added that the credit cards should be a means to experience the lives that customers want to live after years of being hampered by the pandemic.
“If there is one thing that the pandemic has taught us, it is to have a zest for life. For the past two years, everything was at a standstill. But now, we have a chance to jumpstart our lives and live life to the fullest. It’s time for us to Live Life Unlimited. The RCBC Credit Card, together with the RCBC Digital app, will help our cardholders to do just that. The RCBC Credit Card empowers our cardholders to gain new experiences with its amazing shopping, traveling, and dining perks. The RCBC Digital app, on the other hand, will help them manage payment for their purchases by enabling them to convert their straight purchases to up to 36 months installment. It will also allow them to do a funds transfer to anyone using their RCBC Credit Card’s available limit.”
The rebrand comes as RCBC Bankard posted a year-to-date 57percent growth in issuing billings versus same period last year.
