THE opening of the first VinFast dealership in Indonesia marks a significant step in the Vietnamese automaker’s ambitious expansion plans within Southeast Asia. The dealership triggers the growth of the brand in the ASEAN region

The dealership, operated by PT Gallerie Setia Utama, located in Depok City, west of Jakarta, and features a modern design offering customers a premium experience.

“The opening of this dealership in Indonesia is a major milestone,” said Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Chuc, Deputy CEO of VinFast Indonesia.  “Our modern, locally-tailored electric vehicles and exceptional after-sales service promise to make VinFast a major player in the Indonesian EV market.”

VinFast’s Indonesian strategy includes a unique battery subscription policy to reduce ownership costs, as well as a robust warranty program with complimentary battery maintenance and replacement if capacity drops below a specified threshold. These initiatives aim to enhance consumer confidence in transitioning to electric vehicles.

The company has also established V-GREEN Global Charging Station Development Company to support its expansion plans with a focus on building a convenient charging infrastructure in Indonesia and other key markets.

Beyond Indonesia, VinFast is actively targeting Southeast Asian nations like Thailand and the Philippines for sales and distribution. It has plans for manufacturing facilities within the region, mirroring its strategy of establishing factories in the United States, India, and other global markets.

VinFast’s rapid expansion and localized approach highlight its ambition to become a leading player in the global electric vehicle market, with a significant presence throughout Southeast Asia.
