LAST year saw the entry of several US-based restaurants into the Metro Manila dining market. Popeyes, a brand which was once in the Philippines made its triumphant return to the local market when it opened its first branch in Arcovia City in Pasig. The opening was considered the largest opening of a Popeyes restaurant worldwide.

Over the next several months, Kuya J Group, the franchise holder of Popeyes here in the Philippines, has been busy expanding the restaurants footprint across the metro and even in Alabang. Less than a year since the opening of the first branch, Kuya J Group has opened the restaurant’s 10th branch, with the latest location right in the heart of Makati.

“We are extremely grateful for the support we have been continuously receiving ever since we opened our first store at Arcovia City. Now we have 10 branches spread across Metro Manila and we are pleased to finally bring Popeyes to Makati,” said Ton Gatmaitan, Kuya J Group marketing director.

With the newest branch of Popeyes, Makati residents will now be able to enjoy the classic dishes of this Lousiana icon. They will now be able to enjoy the brand’s crispy and juicy fried chicken, to the legendary biscuits, to the shrimp and fish burger and chicken tenders, or even the Philippines-exclusive spaghetti without having to brave the traffic.

The newest branch is located at the ground floor of Kroma Tower along Dela Rosa Street, Legaspi Village Makati. Unlike the larger standalone stores, the new branch is slightly smaller, focusing mainly on takeout orders for workers and condo dwellers in the vicinity.
