PHNOM PENH. – The Philippine national men’s hockey team absorbed a 0-11 beating at the hands of Singapore in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games at the Dinosaur Park Hall here on Thursday.

Muhammad Mat Harim led the Singaporeans with three goals as the Philippines failed to get a single shot at the goal and dropped its fourth straight game.

National team coach Chris Garcia said nerves got the best of the players.

“It doesn’t matter how many times we train if they get nervous in the actual game. Given that this is their first time in the SEA Games, this will be a learning experience,” Garcia said.
