MOTOLITE rode on the power of Tots Carlos and Bernadette Flora and the playmaking skills of Fem Emnas as it snapped a two-game skid while halting PetroGazz’s nine-game run with a 22-25, 25-13, 25-16, 16-25, 15-11 victory to boost its semis drive in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan last night.

Carlos and Flora delivered a pair of clutch hits in the decider and Motolite overcame a 5-7 deficit by taking 10 of the last 14 points to pound the victory, their eighth against five defeats, for joint third with BanKo-Perlas.

PetroGazz, which racked up eight wins-in-row to move behind unbeaten and first semifinalist Creamline, absorbed its third defeat but remained in second with a 9-3 card heading to the last two weeks of the double-round eliminations of the season-ending conference of the league organized by Sports Vision.
