FORMER Princess Universe grand winner Patricia Angela Mindanao Cruz won the coveted Miss Philippine Youth 2020 crown at the finale of the competition held at Tanghalang Pasigueño last Monday.

Patricia, now 16 and a Grade 11 student of San Beda University (Mendiola), represented Pola, Oriental Mindoro in the national Mr. & Ms. Philippine Youth competition that aims to empower the youth and be productive members of society and role models to the current generation of young people.
Now on its 20th year, the pageant is staged by KASAMA, Inc. headed by Hon. Gerald Ortiz.
Patricia is the daughter of PRD 13 Brig. Gen. Gilbert Cruz and Pola, Oriental Mindoro Mayor Jennifer Mindanao Cruz a.k.a. Ina Alegre.
Patricia was the grand winner of Princess Universe 2015 held in Burgas, Bulgaria in 2015. Later that same year, her mom Jennifer competed for Mrs. Universe in Minsk, Belarus where she made it as a semifinalist and won the Mrs. Superstar special title.Patricia looks up to her parents as well as to Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.

Belmere Skin Care Clinic CEO Michelle Vitug Encarnacion was feted with a victory and thanksgiving party by her family, friends and media at Discovery Suites Ortigas last Friday after winning the Elite Mrs. Philippines International title December 15 last year.

Michelle, 44, represented her home province of Albay at the nationwide search.
As a beauty queen, Michelle hopes to use her title to be able to further her long-time advocacy in helping underprivileged children have an education through her “Lapis at Papel” project.
Michelle hopes to expand her mission starting with her home province Albay and other areas of the country.
Michelle will represent the Philippines at the Mrs. International Pageant (Elite Category) to be held in Singapore later this year.
