LOVI Poe says the rumor that she is moving to ABS-CBN is not true. “I just appeared there to promote my new movie, ‘The Annulment’,” she says. “But may bago raw akong soap na gagawin sa GMA so, Kapuso pa rin po ako.”
Lovi is very open in admitting she’s now in a long-distance relationship with Monty Blencowe, a movie producer from England who is currently based in the US. “I met him in Los Angeles and our friendship just grew,” she adds. “He is a nice and good person, an old soul, so nagkasundo agad kami and we’re just sharing this moment together. Thanks to modern technology and the internet, we can still easily communicate with each other constantly.”
Monty got to visit her recently and Lovi toured him around. “It’s his first visit to the Philippines and I took him to Boracay and to Samal Island in Davao na gandang-ganda siya. He also got to meet my mother, who has nothing but good words for him.”
Before Monty, she was on with a Filipino-French guy, Chris Johnson. What happened to them? “We dated for almost two years but it just didn’t work out for us. But we are still on good terms. He’s okay, wala akong masasabing masama sa kanya, talaga lang we’re not meant for each other. Now, with Monty, we’re hoping for the best.”
But she doesn’t see herself getting married in the near future. “Although I’m happy to see my friends being happily married, the idea of me also becoming a wife has not crossed my mind yet. There’s still a lot of things I want to do, take my time and explore the world, travel to new places, meet new people, so there’s really no need to rush.”
She enjoyed making “The Annulment.” “You know, it’s an eye-opener for me as it made me realize just how hard it is to keep a relationship going. So before taking the plunge, you have to make sure that you’re really right for each other. What happens to our characters is something I wouldn’t wish to happen even to my worst enemies.”

Dimples Romana joined showbiz when she was only 12 and ABS-CBN then launched her as part of Star Circle Batch 4 in 1997. She was so pretty a lot of writers predicted she’ll quickly gain full stardom, but she got married early and so she never really achieved leading lady status.
She turned 35 on November 13 and proves that you cannot really put a good talent down.
Through the years, she has shown she’s a good actress and now, she has achieved popularity in her role as Daniella Mondragon a.k.a. Dani Girl in the afternoon soap, “Kadenang Ginto” where she has launched a thousand memes showing her traveling to various places.
It is for this reason that the local beauty brand Skin Magical got her as their endorser and she was formally launched last Friday. Their partnership actually started at “Kadenang Ginto” where the product’s Gandang Palaban collection was initially introduced
Skin Magical COO Ghie Pangilinan says they got Dimples as “Kadenang Ginto” is a toprater and they know she can help push their products that promote women empowerment.
“I’m very proud to be the endorser of Skin Magical and I know for a fact that it works,” says Dimples. “As an actress, we have to take good care of our looks kasi ‘yan ang unang tinitingnan ng tao and we have to good clear skin. My own set has a peeling effect that helps to reveal smoother and more radiant skin.’’
Dimples has just completed two new films: “Block Z,” a zombie movie, and the Metro Manila Film Festival entry, “The Mall the Merrier.” “Security guard ako na lumalaban sa zombies in ‘Block Z’ so nag-action ako diyan and in ‘The Mall,’ contravida ako kina Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis. And in January, I will start a new movie with Maricel Soriano. So exciting, ‘di ba? Tuloy-tuloy ang dating ng blessings so career ko at sa family life ko, wala akong marereklamo as I’m so happy with my husband and our two kids who are now, 16 and 4 years old.”

Alden Richards has joined the “Eat Bulaga” Dabarkads for their show this weekend in Dubai’s World Trade Center. They will be there for five days but before he left, he made sure he taped advanced episodes of “The Gift,” that will air while he is away.
Joining Alden in Dubai are “Eat Bulaga” mainstays Sen. Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Pauleen Luna, Allan K., Ryzza Mae Dizon, Baeby Baste and his ka-love team, Maine Mendoza.
Meantime, in “The Gift,” Faith, the character played by beauty queen Thia Thomalia has already been killed. Faith played the girlfriend of Martin del Rosario as Jared, Alden’s abusive half-brother in the story who accidentally killed Thia because of intense jealousy.
Some regular viewers of the show were shocked as it happened so suddenly. But the fans of Mikee Quintos, who plays a character secretly in love with Alden, are hoping that with Thia gone, she’d now be given the chance to be his love interest.
“Pasabog talaga ang episode na ‘yun,” says Alden. “Kahit kaming cast members, nagulat when we learned na papatayin ang character niya. It’s really heartbreaking. If you’d notice, ang bilis-bilis ng pacing ng ‘The Gift’ ngayon kaya huwag kayong bibitaw dahil marami pang masabog na mangyayari.”
