A man was shot dead by an unidentified assailant at around 9:40 a.m. last Saturday in Sto. Niño, Barangay Bilibiran in Binangonan, Rizal.
Col. Feloteo Gonzalgo, Rizal provincial police office director, identified the fatality who died on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds as alias Arturo, of legal age and a Binangonan, Rizal resident.
His assailant, who will be facing murder charges, is still at large and is the subject of a manhunt operation.
Recovered at the scene were four empty shells from an unknown type of firearm.
Arturo was walking in Sto. Niño, but upon reaching an alley, a man followed, blocking his way, then, without warning, drew out a handgun and shot the victim four times before fleeing.
