CONGRATULATIONS to the newly crowned winners of the 8th Mrs Philippines Globe national finals held at Marquis Events Place, Taguig last Saturday.
Crowned as Mrs Philippines Globe 2019 was Mariz Songcuan, 26, an accounts executive of a customs brokerage firm from San Fabian, Pangasinan and single mom of a four-year-old boy. She will vie for the Mrs Globe world finals in Shenzhen, China next month.
The Classique Mrs Philippines Globe 2019 title (for ladies 44-55 years old) went to Julieta Mirasol, 46, a CPA and sales manager of a foods corporation and mother of 3 boys from Lubao, Pampanga. She will compete for Mrs. Globe Classique in the USA in 2021.
Songcuan and Mirasol topped the field of 25 empowered women who competed in festival costumes, swimsuits by Simone Swimwear and evening gowns.
One touching production number showed the contestants dancing in synch with their sons or husbands.
Andrea Tan of Cebu City was named Woman of Substance while Jennifer Flores of Bacolod City was Woman of Substance Classique.
Jelliane Rose Dinorog Villacuatro of Negros Occidental was first runner-up while Jane Jarencio of Capiz was runner-up in the Classique category. Joscille Obaob of North Cotabato was second runner-up and Mizuki Joyce Quilala-Villa of Manila was third runner-up.
Kudos Mrs. Philippines Globe president Mildred Vitangcol and national director Carla Cabrera for coming up with an amazing batch of winners who are empowered with inspiring stories to share as they are beautiful inside and out.

Congratulations to Chaiyenne Huisman of Spain for winning as Miss Asia Pacific International 2019 at the finals held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater last October 9.
We got the chance to meet this very engaging 20-year-old, 5’11 model and Business Management graduate from Malaga, Spain during a meet-and-greet at Selah Pods Hotel and Spa in Pasay last Saturday, along with her runners-up Eoanna Constanza from the Dominican Republic, half-Filipina Jessica Cianchino from Canada and Fiorella Cortez from Costa Rica.
It was Huisman’s second time to compete in Manila. Last February, this polyglot (she speaks five languages) represented the Netherlands at the belated staging of Miss Global 2018, also held at the Newport Theater.
More on Chaiyenne in the next issue.
