BACK in town is Jackie Forster.
We met her at the opening of Shinagawa Lasik in Bonifacio Global City.
Lasik, we learned, is a laser eye surgery to treat myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) and astigmatism.
Jackie has maintained her good looks. The mom of five says she is back for good and is eager to resume her showbiz career.
She has been away from the scene for 12 years. She said she is not sure how long she will be here, but she says her good friend, talent manager and publicist Jojo Gabinete is helping her in her comeback big.
She said she is ready to star in a good project, and has no objection even if it will also have ex hubby Benjie Paras in the cast.
In Jackie’s younger years, she was a contract star of Regal Films. “Kasabayan ko sina Karla Estrada at Sunshine Cruz,” she said,
“We have remained close sa isa’t isa kaya sila ang unang nakaalam na I’m back.”
Among the three ladies, she was the first one to get married.
She married the young basketball star Benjie Paras. The union produced two sons, Andre and Kobe.
With her current husband, Dutch businessman Michel Franken, Jackie has three kids — Jared, Caleigh, and Yohan.

Sophia Vera, Ai Ai de las Alas’s 23-year-old daughter, will soon follow in the actress’ footsteps.
But Ai Ai will not be managing Sophia’s career. She has asked Biboy Arboleda to do the job.
“Everyone who has seen Sophia said she looks promising,” Ai Ai related. “Kasi, at her age, she looks gorgeous. That’s why, I told Biboy to tap her for kontrabida roles. Kulang nga kasi sa showbiz ang magagaling na kontrabida.”
Sophia, who grew up in the US, is her daughter with actor Miguel Vera, who is now based in the US. Aside from Sophia, Ai Ai has three more children, Sancho, Sean Nicolo and Seth Andrei.
Sancho is part of the cast of Coco Martin’s top action series, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
Ai Ai, who was also at the Shinagawa Lasik opening in Bonifacio Global City, said she is currently preparing to tape her new series for GMA and plans to star in a new movie with an independent production company.
When it comes to her lovelife, Ai Ai cannot ask for anything more. She has found a loving husband in Gerald Sibayan, who just completed his aviation course from the Asian Institute of Asian Aviation.
Gerald’s goal is to become a commercial pilot.
Of her desire to have a baby with Gerald, she is leaving everything to the Lord.
