SEN. Christopher “Bong” Go and ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo remained the top choices for senators of Filipino voters, the March 18 to 24 survey of OCTA Research showed.
The survey, which involved 1,200 adult respondents with a ±3 percent margin of error, showed that Go obtained a voting preference of 64 percent while 61 percent said they would vote for Tulfo if the midterm elections were held today.
Running for third to fifth spots were television host Ben Tulfo (48 percent), former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III (46 percent), and re-electionist Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. (45 percent).
Tied in fourth to 10th places with a 42-percent voting preference each were re-electionist Sen. Lito Lapid and former Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, followed by re-electionist Sen. Pia Cayetano (41 percent).
In 6th to 11th spots were Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa (38 percent) and Makati Mayor Abby Binay (37 percent); followed by Deputy Speaker Camille Villar (35 percent).
Tied for 12th to 18th places with a voting preference of 29 percent each were former Sen. Manny Pacquiao, television host Willie Revillame, and former Interior Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr.
Also in eighth to 12th places is former Sen. Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino with a voting preference of 28 percent.
In 12th to 19th spots, with a 27 percent voting preference, were former Sen. Francis Pangilinan, and re-electionist Senators Francis Tolentino and Imee Marcos.
