Four months after the May elections, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Wednesday officially proclaimed the Gabriela Women’s Party as 55th winning party-list group.
The poll body also proclaimed the group’s first nominee, Sarah Elago, to the 64th party-list seat in the House of Representatives.
Gabriela won a party-list seat in the May 2025 elections, placing 55th with 256,811 votes.
The Comelec proclaimed Gabriela as one additional party-list winner from the May 2025 elections because the current 63 declared seats fall short of the 20% representation required by law.
