ANDREA “Andeng” Ynares turned a year older on Tuesday, December 11, her first to mark her birthday as mayor of Antipolo City.
Andeng has the distinction of being the first lady mayor of Antipolo. She is wife, of course, of former Antipolo Mayor JunJun Ynares, a doctor by profession who served the city for three terms.
“Ang ganda ng kuwento ng pag-i-ibigan ng mag-asawang iyan,” said Radar magazine editor Francis Simeon. “Puwedeng pampelikula, kung hindi pang-episode ng ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’ (MMK) o ‘Magpakailanman.’
“Both were classmates at a university in Cavite, taking up pre-med. Andeng daw was determined to become a doctor. Well, just like Dr. JunJun. But she dropped out from her course. The two got married after Dr. JunJun finished his medical course. They are now parents of two girls, both in their pre-teen.”
The couple belong to political families.
Mayor JunJun’s mom is incumbent Governor Nini Ynares, while his dad, Casimiro Ynares, was former governor.
Andeng’s dad, of course, is former Senator Ramon Revilla, Sr. and her Kuya is Sen. Bong Revilla.
Don Ramon is turning 93 years old next year.
“Pero, awa ng Diyos, he is still alert and in control of his senses,” said Mayor Andeng.
“Everytime he wakes up, he requests his private nurse to read to him the headlines of the daily newspapers and tabloid. Kaya aware siya on what is happening around us.”
Her father is the reason she cannot join her siblings, who are all attending the wedding of her nephew, Cavite Vice Governor, Jolo Revilla to former beauty queen Angelica Alita, in the US middle of this month.
“Ako kasi ang na assign to look after my dad,” Mayor Andeng said.
Vice Gov. Jolo is the son of Senator Bong Revilla and Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado.

Miles Ocampo, 22, has never had a boyfriend.
A graduate of the defunct show, “Goin’ Bulilit,” Miles does not think she is missing out on something.
“I’m sure magiging masaya pa rin ako. Like what happens every year, since I usually celebrate it with my family,” she says. “Christmas Day, naglalamyerda kami ng mga barkada ko.”
Christmas is bound to be different because she has an entry in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2019, “Write About Love,” with Rocco Nacino as her leading man. Also in the cast are Yeng Constantino and Joem Bascon.
Miles plays a budding novelist, while Rocco is the more experienced one in the movie.
“Write About Love” is directed by Crisanto Aquino and produced by TBA Films.

Joem Bascon has broken up with his girlfriend of 11 years, vlogger Crisha Uy.
The actor refuses to explain why the two of them parted ways. He wants to make it clear, though, that his former girlfriend, Meryl Soriano, his co-star in “Starla,” has nothing to do with the break-up.
Meryl and Joem were together before he had a relationship with Bernard Palanca, the father of his son.
Meryl is the daughter of Willie Revillame and BecBec Soriano, the younger sister of actress Maricel Soriano. Becbec is married to a Japanese and resides in Japan.
“Kaya baka nga daw sa Japan sila ng kanyang anak mag-Pasko,” said a friend of Meryl’s.

Maymay Entrata is off to Japan this Christmas. She will be accompanied by her mom, a former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW).
This will be their first time to travel together, said Maymay. “Although plano rin namin na magdala ng ilan kong kapatid. Sa tagal din kasi ng pag-ta-trabaho ng mother ko sa ibang bansa, never ako o sino man sa mga kapatid ko na napuntahan siya. Kaya I can’t wait for us to leave,” she further stated.
Last year, Maymay was in Germany with boyfriend Edward Barbers. She had the chance to meet his parents, including his British dad and Filipina mom.
Will Edward join her in Japan?
“Naku, hindi,” she quickly replied. “Balak niya kasing sa province ng mama niya mag-Pasko, para makapiling naman daw niya ang mga grandparents niya at mga pinsan.”
