MYLA Villagonzalo Tsutaichi, an ikebana and kimono teacher based in Japan and native of Baliwag, Bulacan, was crowned as Mrs. Tourism Ambassador International 2020 at the inaugural Mrs. Tourism Ambassador Universe Pageant held at the Ming Garden Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia last December 4.
Myla also won as Sri Andaman Butik Ambassador (Ambassador for Joy) and Top 5 for Best National Costume, Top 5 for Best in Evening Gown and Top 5 Best Makeup.
Myla, who also represented the Philippines at the second Mrs. Tourism held in Dapitan City two years ago, was among 20 delegates from all over Asia who competed in the pageant that aims to promote tourism in Malaysia and the rest of the participating countries.
The other winners were Mrs. Malaysia who was crowned as Mrs. Tourism Ambassador Universe 2020 and Mrs. Nepal who was named as Mrs. Tourism Ambassador World 2020.
Meanwhile, all of the Filipinas who joined the inaugural Little Queen of the Ramp International Pageant held simultaneously with the Mrs. Tourism Ambassador Universe Pageant will go home victorious with the coveted grand winner title and two runner-up placements.
Crowned as Little Queen of the Ramp Grand Winner 2020 was Angel Kim Samson Sarmiento from Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. Named as first runner-up was Ehra Denise Alcantara. She also won as Best in Evening Gown. Elected as fourth runner-up was Edlene Pascual, who also won the Little Queen Icon title.
Like Sarmiento, Alcantara and Pascual are also from Nueva Ecija. Eleven contestants from all over Asia competed in the international runway competitionfor pre-teens. — Jose D. Patao, Jr.
