Roxanne Barcelo denies she is in a relationship with 24-year-old Japanese vlogger-comedian Fumiya Sankai.

Roxanne was also a housemate in “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB) like Fumiya.

“But much ahead akong napasok,” clears Roxanne. “Year 2006 when I became part of PBB Celebrity Edition. By then, I had already won TV5’s ‘Hollywood Dream.’

“Fumiya joined PBB Otso only in 2019. He was the runner-up of YamYam Gucong of Bohol, who was proclaimed the champ.”

In any case, it was in PBB that she got to know Will Devaugn, who eventually became her boyfriend.

They separated last year.

She refuses to talk about Will, she told Boy Abunda in the latter’s talk show, “Tonight with Boy Abunda.” She is dating someone not from showbiz, she told Boy.

Roxanne says she is currently focused on showbiz. She is getting good reviews for her work, especially her performance in iWant’s “Fluid.”

For the first time, she agreed to have a kissing scene with a girl, Ann Colis, who plays her lover. Joross Gamboa is her ex-boyfriend in the series. Janice de Belen and Al Tantay is also in the series.

“Fluid” is directed and co-written by Benedict Mique. It is produced by Lonewolf Films and written by Carlo Baltazar, Benedict and brother Benjie Mique.

Back in showbiz is top comedian-actor-host Arnell Ignacio.

He entered public service and was also with PAGCOR. He has resigned and is now resuming his showbiz career.

He said he tremendously misses “life in showbiz.”

Arnell signed a five-year management contract with Viva Artist Agency, headed by

Veronique Corpuz, eldest child of Viva big boss Vic del Rosario.

For his first project, he told Boss Vic and Veronique, he wants to star in a comedy movie. Opposite another comedian, perhaps.

Roderick Paulate could be it, Arnell added.

He wants to also host a TV show.

Right now, he co-hosts the radio program on DZMM, Labor of Love, with Rica Lazo, where the two of them discuss mostly problems of our OFWs.

Coco Martin and Angelica Panganiban are both back in town from Dubai, where they shot scenes for their first movie together, “Love or Money.”

A romance-comedy directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar, “Love or Money” sees Coco and Angelica playing OFWs. It is an entry in the summer Metro Manila Film Festival, which, unfortunately, has been shelved due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Sayang, because I really looked forward to working with Coco,” said Angelica. “’Love or Money’ was supposed to be a Valentine offering pero hind inga natapos. Sana, when it’s finally shown, it will be a moneymaker.”

Angelica was last seen in the movie, “Unbreakable,” with Bea Alonzo.

Coco was in “3Pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon” with Ai Ai delas Alas.

The shooting of ABS-CBN Films (Star Cinema, Black Sheep, Cinebro and Cinema Originals) has ceased, as announced by ABS-CBN on Saturday, March 14.

Kapamilya teleseryes have also suspended their taping. ABS-CBN has temporarily stopped airing entertainment shows, and in the meantime will bring back the classic teleserye, “100 Days to Heaven,” in lieu of “Pamilya Ko.”

Coco’s “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” will stop airing, to be replaced by Zaijian Jaranilla’s “May Bukas Pa.”

Speaking of Coco, the actor says he is looking forward to doing scenes with Shaina Magdayao, who plays an army officer in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”

They are fans of each other.

Right now, Shaina has several projects. She has “Tagpuan” with Rep. Alfred Vargas and Iza Calzado.

She also has a reunion movie with ex boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz. But she won’t be John Lloyd’s leading lady.

“Nagkataong nagustuhan ko lang ang role kaya tinanggap ko,” Shaina explained.

John Lloyd was Shaina’s first serious relationship. They were together for many years.

The two are said to be both single. John Lloyd is reportedly separated from Ellen Adarna, while Shaina has not been seen dating anyone.
