4PS, Duterte Youth show way in partylist race

THE 4PS and Duterte Youth parylists are poised to win three seats each in the House of Representatives if the May midterm elections were held today, a commissioned survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed.

The survey, sponsored by the Stratbase Consultancy Group, was held from March 15 to 20 and involved 1,800 adult respondents nationwide with a margin of error of ±2.31 percent.

SWS found that based on the list of 155 partylists on the revised ballot face template released by the Commission on Elections, 4PS is the top choice of Filipinos with a 10.44 percent voter preference (up from 9.62 percent in February), followed by Duterte Youth with 8.42 percent (from 8.28 percent)

They are followed by ACT-CIS and FPJ Panday Bayanihan with 5.29 percent (up from 4.46 percent) and 4.17 percent (from 4.76 percent) voter preferences, respectively.

Also in the running are Ako Bicol (2.51 percent up from 1.79 percent), Asenso Pinoy (2.45 percent from 2.65 percent), Senior Citizens (2.28 percent from 2.99 percent), TGP (2.05 percent up from 0.87 percent), and Agimat (2 percent from 1.95 percent).

Under the rules, partylists that obtain six percent of the votes cast will get three seats; two seats for four percent; and one seat for two percent.

Trailing behind are Tingog (1.95 percent), Coop-Natco (1.7 percent), Bicol Saro (1.69 percent), and Edukasyon (1.64 percent).
