Aiming to connect fashion with technology as a new venture and bring everyone together in a digital fashion industry during the pandemic, Fashion Week Brooklyn 2020 (New York-Manila edition) wants to provide a source of encouragement for fashion designers and photographers terribly hit by the pandemic, and hopes to inspire and move viewers and models through creativity and innovation .
The virtual fashion week, established by BW Style International, runs from October 11-18.
Invitations were sent by the organizers to select members of the press, celebrities, socialites, beauty queens, fashion industry executives, bloggers, models, actors and artists.
Pre-screenings were done and the target list of participants were sifted to a final roster.
Among the confirmed models selected from hundreds of candidates screened are the hard-working beauty queen-moms of Queen of Hearts Foundation headed by CEO and Mrs. Asia Pacific Tourism 2018 Mitzie Go-Gil, through designer John Guarnes and director Bench Bello.
The other queens are: Mrs. Asia Pacific Global 2019 Avon Morales; Mrs. Asia Pacific Philippines Cosmopolitan 2019 Mary Chris Abacahin; Mrs. Asia Pacific Philippines Intercontinental 2019 Glynes Olbes; Mrs Queen of Hearts Philippines Maguindanao 2020 Xiamzzy Dy and Queen of Hearts Foundation board member Elise Sonza.
Taking a much-deserved glam break from their selfless and continuing mission of charity projects to help indigent children and communities, the married beauty queens will dress in casual wear (summer dresses) of their choice and style, while evening gowns will be creations by designer John Guarnes
