Globe Telecom Bags Most Sustainable Brand Title For Second Year

Globe Telecom once again receives the title of  the Philippines’ Most Sustainable Brand for the second straight year, according to Standard Insights. Along with  multiple other recognitions, including the ESG Initiative of the Year at the Asian Telecom Awards 2024, this award shows just how the company has been successful in its commitment to integrate sustainability into its core business.

It is clear that Globe is serious in its commitment to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050. The large investments in technology made by the tech giant are prime examples of this commitment, which include the establishment of  AI-driven energy management systems and power-saving Base Transceiver Stations (BTS).

As a result, overall emissions have been reduced by 4.42%, without sacrificing network quality. In fact, service delivery has greatly improved, operational costs lowered by reducing energy consumption and the company’s carbon footprint greatly reduced across thousands of network sites.
