The Aboitiz Group has launched its #OneAboitiz Sustainability microsite sustainability.aboitiz.com, which will be a hub of information on the Group’s economic, environmental, social, and governance (EESG) initiatives, as well as an avenue to educate stakeholders on pertinent social issues related to the business.

Aboitiz said the microsite will provide timely and relevant information on the Group’s approach to its renewable energy transition– why it must be done in a smart and careful manner.

The microsite contains a comprehensive source of information on the company’s approach to sustainability, climate strategy, environmental practices and solutions, workforce development programs, and the unique corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives of the Group towards inclusive growth.

The microsite will also highlight how the Group’s investments impact and contribute to the economic development of the country through life-essential industries such as its foray into communication towers to support the nation’s infrastructure development, provision of clean and affordable water and power, and the development of accessible digital banking avenues to reach more unbanked Filipinos nationwide.

The Sustainability microsite promotes the interests of People, Planet, Profit as it showcases real stories on the Aboitiz Group’s Sustainability Journey including programs such as A-Park, a simultaneous tree-planting initiative that has contributed 11.73 million trees in support of the national government’s National Greening Program.

The company also showcased its sustainability programs including the largest tree growing initiative “A-Park Program” which now accounts for 11.73 million trees and continues to improve and enhance the program monitoring and maintenance processes to ensure tree survival and growth. Another excellent example of the Group’s partnering of sustainability and CSR in action is the Davao City E-Buses project. The e-buses deployed were the first fully electric, free-ride shuttle service in Mindanao.

Most importantly, the sustainability programs of the company are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, further proving that the Group’s journey towards addressing the most relevant issues of today is vital in its sustainable business transformations
