I’m excited to see how DITO 5G continues to evolve in the future. And that future is now.
DITO Telecommunity recently launched its DITO Home Unli 5G Wifi, offering customers a new option for fast and reliable internet access. Home 5G uses the latest 5G technology to deliver speeds of up to 500 Mbps, which is significantly faster than traditional broadband services running from a SIM.
Though the DITO Home 5G Wifi is available in select areas of the Philippines, it still serves.
DITO Home 5G is available in Cavite, Davao, Laguna, 490 Barangays across NCR, 50 Barangays in Cebu and 11 Barangays in Mandaue. And the company continually adds more locations to expand its coverage to more areas in the coming months.
Customers can enjoy two options for DITO Home Postpaid Plans. First, the UNLI 5G Plan offers unlimited data for only Php 1490 per month with up to 500 Mbps of internet speeds (my choice because of its accessibility and unlimited data). What’s even better is, DITO is offering an introductory price of Php 745 per month for the first six months for new subscribers and existing users shifting to the Unli 5G offering.
Meanwhile, deliberate users can opt for the data-capped plan with 200GB data allocation for only Php 990 per month. The data-capped plan supports data rollover – leftover data from the previous billing cycle can be carried over to the next billing cycle, but not beyond that.
Both DITO Home Postpaid Plans come with a free modem/router and bonus 30-day subscription to Prime Video.
DITO Home also has prepaid offers. Customers need to purchase first the DITO Home 5G Starter Pack, it comes with a DITO Home 5G Modem and the 5G SIM installed, 50GB of open access data, and a free 30-day subscription to Prime Video. The one-time payment is as low as P7,990.
You can choose from two data promo options. The Home Unli 5G with Unlimited Data at P1090 and the data-capped 100GB at P590 (a good recommendation because it has a data rollover) for prepaid users. Both plans have more value in terms of service, speeds and price than competitive offers for the same kind of service. Moreover, all data promos are valid for 30 days and come with redeemable DITO Rewards.
The modem itself is compact and sleek, actually reminding me of the first generation Wii. It is fully plugged in and even has LAN ports in the back to run directly via Ethernet into any laptop or desktop, or via an adaptor for Mac and Macbooks.
Once the router and SIM card are activated, customers can connect to the internet using their existing Wi-Fi devices. DITO Home 5G also offers browser access that allows customers to manage their account and monitor their usage, and there is the more efficient and accessible DITO App to track usage.
Fast and reliable
Users and reviewers have praised DITO Home Unli 5G Wifi for its fast speeds and reliability. Many users have reported speeds of over 500 Mbps, which is significantly faster than their previous broadband providers.
One user on Reddit commented: “I’ve been using DITO Home 5G for a few weeks now and I’m really impressed with the speeds. I’m getting download speeds of over 500 Mbps and upload speeds of over 200 Mbps. I’m able to stream 4K video without any buffering and download large files in seconds.”
My org mate and gamer friend Abby was the one who introduced me to the 5G device.

However, some users have reported issues with the DITO Home 5G app. But I have not experienced any of that. From installation to device connection it is almost flawless. I did have a couple of hiccups at the start when connecting to the modem management page but that was easily resolved by clearing browser cookies. Like all connected devices, prompting is important.
