DIAMOND Hotel Philippines (DHP) recently lit up its 25-foot Christmas tree at the Lobby to mark the beginning of the merriest time of the year. The tree was strung in white and gold finery, adorned with crystals and pearled ornaments.
Melanie Pallorina, DHP public relations manager, said this year’s classic color palette bears a symbolic desire for harmony and peace in the modern world, as well as value for inner lightness in a season that celebrates giving, reflection, and selflessness.
The hotel’s interiors are also festooned with snowy, rustic leaves, stylish ornaments of silver and gold, and reindeers reminiscent of glittering ice sculptures.
The lighting of the white, whimsical Christmas tree was led by guest of honor Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Domagoso and his family, alongside the hotel’s general manager Vanessa Ledesma-Suatengco. Kids from the Remedios Training Center, with their parents and guardians, joined the festivities for a more meaningful celebration.
The Pansol Choir QC filled the air with yuletide carols, while The Bayanihan Philippine National Folk Dance Company captivated the audience with its high-spirited performances.
The hotel continues its tradition of giving to its chosen beneficiary, Kanlungan ni Maria, a non-stock, non-profit organization with a mission to provide adequate and sufficient home care, basic and medical needs for the abandoned, sick, poor and homeless elderly.
Pallorina said it is ingrained in the Filipinos’ culture to respect, care for, and cherish their elders. Hence, all of the hotel’s charitable efforts this Christmas will go to the chosen beneficiary.
“As a company and warm family, we believe in bringing smiles to the faces of those who paved the way for this future to become a reality,” she said, encouraging everyone to participate in the hotel’s charity drive.
Guests are encouraged to participate by donating P300. In return, they can hang a Christmas ornament with their name at the Charity Tree located at the lobby.
Meanwhile, with just a few weeks left before the merriment, DHP is ready to serve its guests with the perfect holiday table.
