The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has issued a renewed warning against fraudulent individuals and groups misusing the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program to solicit money from unsuspecting victims.

DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar emphasized the importance of public awareness regarding these solicitation activities, particularly those targeting overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

Reports indicate that certain individuals are enticing potential “investors,” especially OFWs, to finance 4PH projects in exchange for enticing returns.

“We do not accept investors for the construction of 4PH projects. There is no authorized office or person, even within DHSUD, involved in such investment schemes,” Secretary Acuzar stated. “This is fake news or, worse, a scam.”

He urged the public to report any suspicious activities involving private individuals or groups posing as “agents” of the 4PH Program. Secretary Acuzar reassured that inquiries regarding 4PH should only be directed to DHSUD or local government units (LGUs).

Acuzar reiterated that DHSUD will not tolerate any illegal actions aimed at discrediting or undermining the implementation of 4PH across the country.

To report any suspected illegal activities related to solicitations for the 4PH Program, please contact DHSUD at (02) 8424-4070 or email info@dhsud.gov.ph.
