Gold producer won Kabalikat Award from TESDA
Apex Mining Co., Inc. strives to assist in ways that are truly relevant to its host communities. In fact, One team, one goal is the company’s mantra as it continuously strives to generate income and livelihood opportunities for the people of Davao de Oro.
Under its Social Development and Management Program (SDMP), Apex Mining provided 17 livelihood training to its beneficiaries in Maco (Davao de Oro) between January and December 2023, benefiting approximately 1,173 individuals.
Meanwhile, Apex Mining’s subsidiary, Itogon-Suyoc Resources, Inc. also partnered with the Technological Education and Skills Development Authority – Benguet for a five-day community-based training in tailoring/dressmaking for the members of the Dalicno Livelihood and Skills Development Association. DaLSDA is composed of Sitio Dalicno women residents who desire to have an additional source of income to help their families.
TESDA presented Apex Mining Co. with the ‘Provincial Kabalikat Award (Industry Category) at the former’s 30th anniversary celebration on 30 August 2024. Apex Mining’s president and CEO, Luis R. Sarmiento, ASEAN Eng., received the award.
