PLDT made short work of Capital1 25-17, 25-20, 25-17 yesterday for its third straight win in the PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
Open spiker Savi Davison showed the way for the High Speed Hitters with 17 markers and seven excellent receptions while opposite hitter Erika Santos and Fiola Ceballos chipped in 11 markers each.
Libero and skipper Kath Arado saved 16 excellent digs and had seven excellent receptions for PLDT which rose to 3-0 in the import-less meet.
“Happy na iyong pinag-usapan na nangyari lahat, na-execute lahat so kapag ganoon naman regardless ng result happy kami kasi nagawa namin iyong trabaho namin. So, bonus nalang na nag-straight sets,” High Speed Hitters coach Rald Ricafort said. “Ever since naman, siguro, iyong consistency na every game huwag kami maging either maging complacent or maging frustrated sa mga nangyayari. “So, more on doon sa paano magre-respond sa mga nangyayari pa na mas maging matured kami para kapag mga stronger teams iyong katapat, alam namin iyong gagawin,” he added.
Heather Guino-o paced the Solar Spikers with 10 markers, 10 excellent receptions and seven digs.
