TO go out in a blaze of glory and victory.
College of St. Benilde star spiker Mycah Go is aching to steer the Lady Blazers to a fourth straight title in the 100th NCAA women’s volleyball tournament and fulfill a fitting ending to her collegiate career.
Go is one of the 29 incoming rookies in the PVL after she was selected by the Zus Coffee Thunderbelles last Sunday in the rookie Draft at the Novotel Manila Araneta City.
The 97th league MVP last went straight to the proceedings after CSB’s Game 1 victory over Letran in the finals.
Go posted 12 points, 16 excellent receptions and eight digs for the Lady Blazers’ come-from-behind 26-28, 26-24, 25-16, 25-19 victory before she dazzled in a clean white terno attire on draft night.
Go told Malaya Business Insight that she is focusing on the things in front of her one at a time as she reaches for her goals in the collegiate and pro ranks.
“Lagi ko inaano na kung anong mauuna like iyong Game 1, so doon muna ako nag-focus. After Game 1, diretso draft dito so hindi ko isinasabay. So, one step at a time,” Go said.
The Taft-based crew seeks to sweep the championship series tomorrow.
Go expressed gratitude to CSB team consultant and ZUS Coffee coach Jerry Yee for their trust in her bid to show real worth in the pros.
