Wing spiker Pauline de Guzman led Arellano with 15 points and five excellent receptions while Laika Tudlasan chipped in 10 markers and six digs.

The Lady Chiefs, aside from showing their prowess in offense, also made their presence felt in defense with eight blocks, compared to the Lady Generals’ one.

EAC dropped to 2-7 in the standings.

Outside spikers Joan Doguna ang Johna Dolorito led the Lady Pirates with double-double performances, the former tallying 14 markers and 18 digs and the latter with a 13-point outing and 11 excellent receptions.

After starting its campaign with a win last February 20, things went south for Lyceum as it suffered six straight losses before finding its winning groove again last week.

The Lady Altas head into the second round with a 3-6 slate while the Lady Bombers slipped to 1-8.

The league will have a 10-day break for the Holy Week and returns for the second round of eliminations on April 22.
