DEFENDING champion College of St.Benilde battles San Sebastian College today, with the winner gaining a share of the lead in the 100th NCAA women’s volleyball tournament at the Lyceum Gym in Manila.
The game is set at 11 a.m., with the Lady Stags out to prove they have what it takes against the Lady Blazers, who are out to extend their reign in the tourney.
Leading the league with a 3-0 record is Perpetual Help.
Under a new coach in OnyokGetigan, the four-peat-seeking Lady Blazers will go into the match armed with a 25-20, 25-19, 25-20 win over the JRU Lady Bombers over the weekend.
Getigan said that former head tactician and now deputy Jerry Yee’s system is vital to the green-and-white squad’s bid this centennial season.

The Lady Blazers will be led anew by skipper Mycah Go, ClydelCatarig and WielynEstoque.
San Sebastian will also go into the match on a high, having scored a 25-17, 25-16, 25-13 win over the Emilio Aguinaldo College Lady Generals last Friday.
Kath Santos, Divine Garcia and KJ Dionisio are expected to lead the Lady Stags.
The Lady Bomers and Lady Red Spikers clash in the other match at 1 p.m., with both squads eager to crash the winners’ column.
The Mandaluyong-based crew is hoping to end its three-game skid behind Nicole Deala, ShaninePretta and Patricia Del Pillar.
