PLDT whipped Farm Fresh 25-20, 25-17, 25-19 for its second straight win yesterday in the PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
The High Speed Hitters seized solo third with a 6-3 mark card as open spiker Savi Davison powered the High Speed Hitters with 26 points, 23 off attacks and three blocks, and six excellent receptions.
Also doing their share for PLDT’s victory were veteran middle blocker Mika Reyes with 10 markers while setter Angge Alcantara dished out 12 excellent sets along with four points.
“Happy naman na from the win last time, nagtutuloy-tuloy (iyong panalo). Iyong lesson lagi sa amin iyong mawala iyong complacency at tsaka maging mas maging consistent so happy kami na nagdeliver naman halos lahat kahit sinong iikot,” High Speed Hitters coach Rald Ricafort said.
“So, hopefully, madali namin sa next game. Medyo big game talaga, hindi pala medyo, big game talaga iyong next game,” he added of their match against fancied Creamline on Feb. 15 at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
No player from the Foxies, who slipped to 4-5, reached double-digit scoring as Tubu paced the squad with nine markers.
